I attended Homecoming 2008 as an alumni. I talked with a few of the trustees after talking with active students and was shocked at what I heard. The students aren't happy. The board seems to not care. The students were hoping the Board would replace the current president. I would mirror those thoughts. I believe he isn't a good fit for the college. It's too big of a responsibility. That's a tough pill to swallow, but he knows that it's the right one too. I'm sure he's a good guy, but not in this position. I pray the Board and the administration makes a change.
My wife and I attended the weekend activites for Homecoming. We were so disappointed that we had to leave campus in order to congregate. There were so many people we wanted to see, but had to go to outside locations for out get togethers. There seems to be the feeling that the students and alumni don't want to be on campus, and with the festivities being off campus, I guess there might be more to the rumors that we thought.
